September News, Part One
Here we go again. Hurricane Frances appears to be headed toward Florida. This is not a good time, since I was looking forward to the long weekend. We’ll keep an eye on this one. I don’t want a repeat of Hurricane Charley’s shenanigans.
What will we do if we need to evacuate? Well, I don’t know, but it isn’t going to be fun. Just try putting Bela in a pet carrier.
I’m feeling pretty down about politics today. The Republican sponsored “Swiftboat Veterans for Truth” have done considerable damage to Kerry’s reputation, from what I am reading. Of course, I am convinced that the press is mostly responsible for this, since they appear to have done little to point out the facts, which are that the allegations are baseless, and have been contradicted by all the evidence. The print media does a better job at telling the truth than the TV news. Forget the radio. In any case, it will be a shame if Kerry loses because of this.
