September News, Part Five
I spent much of yesterday helping Miriam with her new website. It’s coming along.
There was a football game at UF on Saturday. The game was set to start at 1:00PM, and I have to be at the radio station by 11:00AM every Saturday. Since this is the first home game of the season (Hurricane Frances caused the scheduled season opener to be postponed), people were crazy. I got to campus by 10:30, and already every parking space was taken. Trying to explain that I was an employee who had to actually work, and was not just another fanatic, was a chore. In any case, I was able to park on the grass near the Reitz Union, and I made it to work just in time.
It looks now like Hurrican Ivan will miss us. This is good news, because we don’t need any more flooding and fallen trees. Plus, I know people who are still without electricity.
