This has made it easier for the parents to release their child in a one stop trick-or-treat location that they consider insulated from the dangers that trick-or-treating from house to house may present. It makes me a little sad. Also, they lady and her boyfriend did not come this year. That made me sad, too, since I made a goodie bag for her. I blame the malls, sororities, and Boo at the Zoo. As the night went we tried to increase per-child candy distribution to time our depletion just right, but the last few groups got plastic bugs. I'd estimate 40% had no costume whatsoever.
