If you mean Rosie O’Donnell, you’re right. That would be terrible.
I am really critical when it comes to performances of “The Star-Spangled Banner”. I hate, hate, hate when performers soul it up, or goof with the melody or line. I like when people do it straight.
I read your reply and I was thought what? That “would” be bad? Then I realized that I totally got Rosie mixed up with her:
Rosanne’s “performance” will live in infamy. It’s one thing to be a bad singer making an honest effort, but to purposely abuse our national anthem is disgraceful. At least she grabbed her crotch at the end. That’s the extra touch of class it needed.
