After the Deluge

Tropical Storm Debby is well and done, and we escaped with no real damage to speak of, for which I am thankful. The most problematic consequence of the storm, and one which I was not expecting, is an infestation of mosquitos to rival any I have ever experienced. The pests are so numerous as to be clearly discernible as a screen across the sky in the early evening. You may find a dozen or more of them have followed you in the car and been closed in. Indeed, the front of the car has countless dead mosquitos smashed upon it, as it would at the peak of love bug season. It is worse than I have ever seen it.
